The young childern who stay in the slums of
Mumbai get no opportunity to recognize their
latent talent and moreover the impact of the
environment reduces their self worth. These
stifle the development of confident youth, which
can otherwise contribute to the development
of a better society. The foundation decided
to leverage on the age-old adage, "catch
them young", and develop them
into leaders for better tomorrow. In order to
enable people to imbibe the qualities of a good
leader, they need to learn and develop these
qualities at a very early age and the same should
be the part of their integral system.
The project aims at developing confidence among
the young ones so that they are prepared to
assume the responsiblity of developing a better
tomorrow. The course comprises of personality
development, creativity, goal setting, values
and beliefs etc. The pedagogy consists of classroom
teaching, presentation by the students, group
discussion etc.
The luminaries from different field attend to
the students personally. Children from the slums
of Mumbai City are selected and put through
the training for one year.
